1. Operating and maintaining a large fleet of trailers, you must use a lot of electricity and other     utilities. What have you done to reduce your energy consumption? We incurred significant     expense to have all of our building roofs (more than 40,000 square feet) resurfaced using reflective     materials designed to reduce energy consumption in maintaining constant interior temperatures year-     round.

2. You must use a lot of cleaning supplies and solvents. Aren't those toxic and harmful to the     environment? We only use water-based and biodegradable cleaning supplies whenever possible, and     when we must use a non-biodegradable product, we make sure that it is disposed of properly to ensure     that it does not enter the ground water table.

3. Do you recycle engine fluids and other materials used on your trailers? Yes. Waste oil,     antifreeze and oil filters are put in their respective collection containers in the hazard waste collection     room. The collection containers are monitored by service department management and at regular     intervals, as needed and as required by regulations it is removed from the premises by Alpha Oil who is     a licensed hazard waste hauler.

4. Do you recycle small batteries (D, C, AA, AAA, and 9 Volt)? Yes. Old batteries are stored in the     Parts department In a designated storage container. When the collection container becomes full, a     driver is scheduled to take them to an approved Green disposal center.

5. Do you recycle Lead Acid Batteries ? Yes. Old lead acid batteries are placed on the No Good     battery pallet in the service department. All no good batteries are picked up on a weekly basis under     contract with Interstate Battery Corp.

6. Do you recycle Fluorescent Bulbs ? Yes. Old bulbs are stored in the Parts department In a     designated storage container. When there are no more than 50 large bulbs or no more than 100     small bulbs collected a driver is scheduled to take them to an approved Green disposal center.

7. What do you do with E-Waste? This includes: televisions, computer monitors, keyboards, mice, old     computers, fax machines, microwave ovens, dvd and vcr players, radios, stereos, cell phones,     telephones, power supplies and PC circuit boards. They are stored in a designated area in the Parts     department. When there are no more than 20 items a driver is scheduled to take them to an approved     Green disposal center.

8. Do you recycle Printer Ink Cartilages ? Yes. Old cartridges are stored in the supply room in a     designated storage container. When the collection container becomes full, a driver is scheduled to     take them to an approved Green disposal center.

9. Do you recycle Old and Scrap Tires ? Yes. When purchasing new or replacement tires, the take-off     old tire if not good is to be left with the tire company for recycling through them. Any scrap tires on     premises are removed from premises as soon as possible and taken to our designated tire shop for     proper disposal through their contracted recycling centers.
